Transaction Threshold

Modified on Fri, 15 Mar 2024 at 11:10 AM

There are some deductions that deduct a percentage of Basic up to a specified amount, or Threshold. This is most often seen with the NSSA, Pension and NEC contribution codes.

NSSA

NSSA thresholds should be updated each time NSSA adjusts the threshold amount.  These adjustments are published on their website. To make it easier for users these NSSA limits can be set when the Calculation Routine is run.  For more information on how to set the Threshold limits on the Transaction Code and when the Calculation Routine is run see the

NSSA section under the heading 'Deduction - Pension'.

NEC Commercial Report

The NEC Commercial Report prompts the User for a Gross Earnings Limit (threshold).  NEC Commercial wants a summary of how many employees earn below and above the threshold figure set by them.  See this link for more information on how to print the NEC Commercial Report with the 'Gross Earnings Limit'.
