This can be done by following the backup procedure and copying the backup file onto the storage medium you have selected.
For more information on doing backup see this link.
If Belina is installed on the server, by default it backs up to the Belina backup folder. If you are backing up from a client machine on the network, where Belina Payroll HR is installed, copy the file over the network or copy it to external media (Cloud, Flash disk, External Hard drive, etc.).
We often suggest that you have a backup folder where all the backups are stored. This could have sub-folders for each of the payrolls. Periodically this folder can be copied onto external media and stored off-site to ensure that if there was a complete loss of data you have every chance of being able to recover your data.
To copy the backup file to another location:
- Open 'Windows Explorer'.
- Right-click on the Windows 'Start' button and selecting the 'Explore' menu option
- Navigate to the backups folder
- The default location is usually 'C:\Program Files\Belina Backups'
- Copy the backup folder to your storage media, unless you would prefer to simply copy the current individual backup file, in which case you would select that file to transfer.
