On the 'Pay Details' tab in the Employee Master, four figures are displayed for information purposes only. These are:
- 'Average Days/ Period'
- 'Average Hours/ Period'
- 'Pay Amount/ Day'
- 'Pay Amount/ Hour'
The average is calculated by adding the number of hours in each of the current year's normal periods (excludes bonus periods) divided by the number of periods.
These values are calculated from the Rate of Pay that has been entered in the payroll and information set up in the Pay Periods Table.
The 'Pay Amount/ Day' is used in cash in lieu of leave and shorttime transactions
The 'Pay Amount/ Hour' is used in Overtime and shorttime calculations.
These figures are useful in ensuring that the information in the Payroll Periods table, Internal Grades, NEC Grades, and Industries tables have been set up correctly.
