There may be instances where there has been an over deduction of PAYE by the system, for example if an earning has been projected as a regular earning when it was a once-off payment.
The FDS system will eventually balance off the over deduction but it is possible to have the full over deduction refunded to the employee immediately. It would be prudent to get approval for such a move via tax directive issued by ZIMRA or in consultation with a reputable tax consultant.
