It is possible to categorize employees in their Employee Master Record as being contract. The 'Employment Type's is captured under the 'Works Info' for each employee on contract using the dropdown menu. When this option is selected notice that the contract 'Start Date' and 'End Date' fields appear which allow the entry of these dates.
Auto Discharge
It is possible to automate the discharge of Contract employees at the expiry of their contracts. If this is done at the end of a period the employee will receive pay in that period. Recurring transactions will not be carried forward into the subsequent period. If the contract expires during a period then allowances can be pro-rated, if the system is setup to do that. Contract Ending - Reminders
It is possible to setup reminders of when contracts are to expire. For more information see the heading 'Contract Ending Reminders' under this link.
Expiring Contracts Report
To extract a report of Expiring Contracts go to the 'View', 'Edit Menu Listing', 'Employee Master', then 'Expiring Contracts' menu options. To see an example Expiring Contracts Reports see 'Employee Master - Expiring Contract' option under this link.
