The journal reports show, amongst other things:
- Whether the payroll is in balance. Each period payroll should be in balance after running the Calculation Routine.
- The total amount processed against each Transaction Code, overall, or by Department, Cost Centre or Paypoint
Multicurrency Journal Report (Link required)
This journal report is similar to the transaction code journal report. The difference is that the Multicurrency reports splits figures into both currencies USDs and RTGS figures.
Accounting - Detail - 'Period Journal'
This a Journal report that groups reports as from the pay point then groups it into department. After grouping the report into departments it then shows the cost center and the occupation. The report continues to cycle this as from the pay point to occupation until all the information has been complied
This report shows the journal with transaction codes displayed per each cost centre.
Control Report - 'Period Control Journal'
The Journal 'Control' Report highlights the transactions and the processing method that was used to enter the transactions.
General - 'General Payroll Journal'
General payroll journal consists of the debits and credits. It shows the employee`s credits and debits. The report also consist of the Benefit debits and credits as well as the company contributions as of the debits and credits.
Transaction Codes Report - 'Journal Transaction Codes'
This is the main journal report for the system. It lists the Transaction Codes and the total value of transactions against each code. The totals should be in balance for the debit (payments to employees) and credits (deductions from employees) columns.
Variance Report - 'Journal Period Variance'
Journal Variance report compares the current journal with that of a specified prior period showing the number of employees who received each transaction type for each period and the difference in terms of number and percentage. The variance in total value is also displayed.
Variance Detail Report - 'Variance Detail Report'
This shows a detail structured report of the Variance report explained above.
