Slashing – Zeros

Modified on Sat, 13 Apr 2024 at 09:42 AM

In the days of hyper-inflation, especially, it was a benefit to have reports that rounded the amounts by thousands, or more.  Since those days the functionality has been retained since there may still be instances users would like to have the reports rounded.

Slashing Zero's from Reports

All reports can be reported with slashed zeros if the actual figure becomes too long to fit onto the report. So this basically divides amounts by the factor that one would have chosen, so that the amounts can be reduced to fit onto reports.

NB The actual report with the long amounts can still be exported with the actual figures.

Enter the factor in the field 'Report Figures Divided by' by the amount which reports should be divided for example 1000 for $'000. This field can be found in the range selection screen as you come into the particular report required.

Slashing Zero's from history data

It is possible to slash the zero's in the history file and in the current processing.  This requires the intervention of Belina Support staff.
