To setup a bonus code as a percentage of Basic. :
- Go to the 'Edit, then 'Transaction Codes' menu options
- If the bonus code does not exist click 'Insert'
- Select the 'Earnings - Bonus' transaction category
- Enter a code and description
- Go to the dropdown menu 'Base On'
- Select the appropriate option based on which staff are being paid e.g. by the amount entered in the Employee Master, NEC or Internal Grade.
- Enter the Percentage of Basic to be applied.
- Click 'Ok' to save changes.
You will notice that you were able to choose between the Basic from the Employee Master, NEC or Internal Grade amounts. For more information on how to setup the bonus as a percentage of Basic see the heading 'Earnings - Bonus' under this link.
Now process the bonus which could be by using the Payslip Input method which is described further in this link.
